Lära Bar are the original line of nutrition bar by the
company that also makes Jocolat, a selection of chocolate
favored bars. Lära Bars are available in the following
flavors:Key Lime Pie, Pistachio,Cashew Cookie,Ginger Snap,
Banana Cookie, Cherry Pie,Chocolate Coconut Chew,Apple Pie,
Cocoa Molé & Pecan Pie. The line of flavors keeps
growing but the quality stays the same. They are excellent!
What
makes LäraBar so special is not only what goes into them,
but also what they don't contain! There currently aren't any
tasty nutrition bars that are also super low in sodium and
that don't have all the added sugars and gluten that so many
of the others do. So we taste tested these bars over a period
of a year during different seasons and in various circumstances.
One conclusion that we came to was that Lära Bars can
be eaten three meals a day for a week or more or used as snacks
or pick-me-ups without boredom setting in. What surprised
me the most was that they serve very well as meal replacements.
Even though they're not loaded with protein, they pack a big
satisfaction quotient just the same. On several occasions
all I had for a meal was a Lära Bar and a drink of water
or juice and I never felt hungry right afterwards! Eaten before,
during and after sports or other physical exertion, the Lära
Bar was easy to digest and never delivered a high carb downer.
Lära
Bars maintain a firm but chewy texture at a wide temperature
range, never becoming gooey or frozen solid as many other
bars do. From the point of view of an emergency food MRE,
they keep well and can be counted on for freshness if stored
at normal room temperature for up to a year. Since they are
a great everyday snack, rotating a personal stash of Lära
Bars ensures that a fresh batch is always available in emergencies.
