The Ringers-Extrication Glove proved very effective in protecting operators' hands in situations where materials such as shared lumber, piping, concrete and broken glass were handled.

An ample gauntlet and elastic cinched cuff, serve to accommodate users of varying wrist sizes, in addition to keeping debris or harmful chemicals from entering the glove. In addition, some measure of wrist protection is offered, making the use of a separate gauntlet unecessary.The 'easy-entry' design also allows for quick and fussless donning and doffing during rapid deployments. We found that the next larger size than the perfect size allowed for the wearing of Nitrile examination gloves as a liner. This feature is important to Medical responders.

These are intended for operations involving typical encounters with perpetrators.The material composition of these gloves provide form fitting ergonomics for effective dexterity when handling equipment or firearms. The neoprene skin also adds some low level of insulation against heat or cold. The liners provide most of the cut resistance.The liner would also effectively mitigate the risk of lacerations that might be a hazard to an enforcer that is engaged in search and rescue operations. As such, the Hatch SGX11 Street Guard combine an inconspicuous look with effective cut resistance for a wide variety of professions.
Protection:
The Hatch SGX11 Street Guard gloves provide some shock protection from casual encounters with hard objects, but their forte is in preventing cuts to the hand. Casual glances from a sharp razor or knife are fully protected from breaching the special knit lining and from lacerating the skin's surface. The Hatch SGX11 Street Guard is equally effective against plain edged weapons as it is against serrated ones .A fast and forceful strike from a sharpened machete did cause a cut through the under-liner. This would indicate that the glove is not intended for combat situations.
Fit:
The Hatch SGX11 Street Guard gloves are highly ergonomic, leaving little room for error in sizing. The advantage is that once the correct size is chosen, the glove then acts as a form-fitting protective skin over the operator's hands. This makes donning a little slow as compared with gloves with highly expandable gauntlets but an allowance is made at the point of entry and a Velcro closure strap cinches effectively at the cuff. Range of motion is almost completely unrestricted and tactility is aided by a highly tenacious palm material. The knitted liner is obviously sensed against the hand- lending a positive reassurance of it's protective properties. The Hatch SGX11 Street Guard was equally comfortable to wear in hot climate as it is in cooler ones. This is likely the result of the liner acting as a moisture management barrier between the hand and the glove's outer layer.
